James May's new car show revealed for..... the BBC

And no, it has nothing to do with Top Gear.

This autumn, his new carshow “Building Cars Live” will air at the BBC. May will present this show with two co-hosts. And no, it has nothing to do with Top Gear. The two co-hosts are Kate Humble and Ant Anstead, presenter on Channel 4’s For the Love of Cars.

But what will May and his new car geeks show us? The programme is going to show us how carmanufactures make their cars. “Building Cars Live” will track in real time the transformation from raw materials to finished vehicle, while explaining the science and engineering involved. It will consist of two 90 minute live episodes and the start of the programme will be at BMW’s Mini plant in Oxford.
